Mothers are at the heart of families, communities, and faith traditions around the world. When a mother survives pregnancy and childbirth, entire families thrive. When she does not, the consequences are devastating and far-reaching. Too many times, the solutions are not reaching all mothers. But… on January 31st, there was a spark of hope.
Our Every Pregnancy coalition was named the winner of the Continuum Spark Awards in the nonprofit category. Selected from more than 2,000 applicants globally, we were recognized for our ability to bring people together across faith, innovation, capital, and organizations to drive real impact for mothers and babies.
Hosted by Collective Continuum, the Spark Awards honors initiatives that demonstrate the power of collective action. This recognition belongs to our entire coalition. To the more than 50 frontline organizations working across crisis-affected and underserved settings. To Muslim scholars and champions who translate compassion into lifesaving action. And to the frontline health workers who often sacrifice their own lives to ensure that care reaches mothers when and where it is needed most.
This award reflects what is possible when faith-inspired communities act together with one purpose: to make every pregnancy safe.

Why This Recognition Matters
This recognition represents more than an award: it signals a spark within the Muslim philanthropic community. A growing recognition that supporting mothers is not a peripheral issue, but a core expression of faith, compassion, and collective responsibility.
The impact of this collaboration is already tangible. Together, our coalition has reached over half a million mothers and newborns, trained more than 785 health workers across six countries, and supported 73,860 safe deliveries. They deployed life-saving innovations to reach mothers in conflict and crisis settings where care is often hardest to deliver.
But what makes this moment powerful is not only what has been achieved, but how it has been achieved. Across our coalition, organizations that once worked in parallel are now choosing to act together: uniting resources, voices, and expertise to protect life. Faith has been the unifying force that provides the moral clarity, trust, and momentum needed to turn generosity into lasting impact.

How the Spark Award Funds Will Be Used
The Spark Award funding will boost both the systems that enable collective action and the frontline services that save lives. The funds will be directed toward two priority areas:
- Technology and infrastructure ($100,000): We will enhance our current technology platform that supports collective action and fundraising by our partners, including end-to-end traceability from donor contributions to projects on the frontlines.
- Direct services ($25,000): The most urgent partner projects will receive funding to purchase essential medicines and equipment.
Together, these investments strengthen the systems behind our movement while delivering immediate, life-saving care to mothers and babies where it is needed most.
Moving Forward
This recognition belongs to our Every Pregnancy partners. It reflects their leadership, their courage, and their daily work on the frontlines.
We are deeply grateful to Collective Continuum for the investment they have placed in our coalition, and for enabling us to ignite even greater impact for all mothers.
